Administrative Board, Other Officers and the Constitution

The Kentucky Council on Archives is governed by a six-member Administrative Board. Five members of the Board are chosen for two-year terms by election by the general membership. Elections are held at the spring meeting each year. Three slots are filled one year, and the remaining two the following year. The Board elects a chairperson from its membership. As a result of a constitutional change in 2002, a vice-chair/chair-elect is also chosen from the Board membership. The chair’s immediate predecessor is the sixth member of the Board, serving in an ex officio capacity.

Elections were held at the 2007 spring meeting on May 11 at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Carrie Daniels of the University of Louisville has been elected chair for the 2007-2008 term. Mark Myers of the Department for Libraries and Archives has been elected Vice Chair.
